Each venue provides food and drink options, please contact your preferred location for catering options.
How accurate is the simulator?
The short answer: very. The instant transition of the golf ball from the real world to the virtual world makes you forget that you're hitting indoors. Top professionals own TrackMan simulators and are able to rely on the accuracy of the data. You can read more on Our Technology page.
Do you have after hours access?
Yes, both our Mentone and Ringwood venues have additional access points located at the rear of our The House of Golf stores. After hours times are dependent on the stores closing hours.
Do I have to complete the waiver?
Yes, all guests are required to complete a waiver before playing to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience - it only takes a few minutes and can be done online or in-venue prior to your session.

How do I book a simulator?
You can book a sim online or contact your nearest venue directly to secure your preferred time.
Can I play on the simulators without being a member?
Yes! You can reserve a simulator for practice, fun games, or to play iconic courses from around the world - no lesson required.
Do I need to bring my own clubs?
It's never a bad idea to practice with the clubs you plan to play with outside, but we understand this may not always be possible. We have a selection of top-of-the-line Callaway clubs that can be hired for a flat rate of $30. We cater for men, women, youth and left-handed players.
What golf balls can I use?
Any! There are no restrictions on the type of ball you can use when playing/practicing on TrackMan simulators. Bring your preferred ball to get the most out of your golfing experience, or Callaway SuperSoft balls can be provided.
What should I wear - golf attire required?
Athletic clothes are preferable, but the most important thing is that you’ll be comfortable swinging a golf club. It’s a casual environment, and proper golf attire is not required. Sneakers or any rubber-soled shoes work well indoors and are recommended. If you prefer, feel free to wear your golf shoes. Dress shoes (or any shoes with a slippery sole) are not recommended.
Do I need to book ahead or can I walk in?
We highly recommend booking ahead because we can't guarantee an opening if you just stroll in, and we would hate to turn you down. Plus, you're a lot more likely to get the day and time you want if you book ahead. Book online, shoot us an e-mail, or give us a call . The earlier the better!
What if I'm a lefty?
That's no problem. The TrackMan simulators are equipped to handle righties and lefties, even if you’re playing a round together. Lefty clubs are also available to hire.
What courses can I play on?
On our Trackman simulators, there are over 150 courses available to play; like The Old Course, Liberty National, and Pebble Beach. Of the 150+ courses, there are over 40 current and past PGA Tour venues for you to test your skills on. See the full list of TrackMan courses.
What if I get a hole-in-one?
If you get a hole-in-one on our simulator, you will win $100 in 5i credit! The hole-in-one must be during a round on a regular course, and does not include par 3 courses, or mulligans.
What is the cancellation policy?
Five Iron can be popular at times. We value your business and ask that you respect our scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 12 hours in advance. We reserve the right to give away your simulator after 10 minutes if you have not provided prior notice of being late. No shows are subject to a $35 cancellation fee.

Leagues
What leagues do you run?
We run competitive and social leagues where you can go head-to-head with local teams. Leagues are available for teams of two or three, with a 9-round season plus finals.
How long is the league season?
Our 5i League Series typically run for 11 weeks. This 11 week season consists of the Introduction/Handicapping round, 9 league rounds, and 1 week of finals. Any extension to the League Season will be announced before the commencement of each League Season. Note: Some seasons may also include a 'bye round' for public holidays thus extending the total weeks a season will run.
How does league play work?
Each week, teams will play nine holes on a predetermined course against another participating league team.
Each player will play off against an individual on the opposing team. The matches will be determined by handicap ie. the lowest handicap of each group will play off against each other.
The winner of each match will be determine by the lowest (nett) score to par through nine holes.
The winner of each individual match will be awarded 2 points, with draws to have an even split between the two players.
The lowest overall team (nett) score will also gain an additional bonus point.
How can I join a league?
You can join a league by registering online through our website or by contacting your local venue directly. Our team can help you choose the right night and format, whether you’re signing up with a team or looking to be placed with other players.
Who can play in the league?
Leagues are open to men, women or any person over the age of 12. Each team must have two players to compete each round on Tuesdays, and three players on Wednesdays.
Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a guardian.
Do I need a team to join leagues?
No, you don’t need a full team to join - you’re welcome to sign up solo, and we’ll do our best to place you with other players. If you already have a partner or team, you can register together and choose your preferred league night.
Do I need a handicap?
Yes, each team player will be required to have a TrackMan handicap. You can obtain a handicap by playing one round of golf on a TrackMan simulator at any one of our venues prior to the beginning of the league season.

How does scoring work?
Leagues will be played in a stroke play format including handicaps, the lowest nett score in each players match will be deemed the winner.
What happens if my team can't make a night?
Because our League operates on a Head to Head basis, there is a strict policy on attendance. If you're aware you can't make it one week, you're allowed to play your round between the end of the previous one and the start of the one you'll miss. However, only the player unable to attend can participate in a makeup round. Make sure to inform your League Manager about your unavailable weeks and arrange a suitable time for your makeup round. Just keep in mind that makeup rounds come with a 3-stroke penalty added to your score.
How do the finals work?
Finals for each league will be played out in a single night at a specified time decided by your League Manager. All semi-finals will be 1st vs 4th, and 2nd vs 3rd, with the higher placing team having choice of course. Semi Finals will be played as per league format, with ties being decided with a Sudden Death playoff between the lowest handicap players. Grand Finals will differ between nights. Tuesday Grand Finals will be a 4BBB Matchplay final over 9 holes, and Wednesday Grand Finals will be 18 hole matchplay in handicap pairings. The higher placing team in the Grand Finals will have course selection.
Can different players play each week?
Yes. A team can register up to a max of 5 people in their squad. Registered players can rotate throughout the season, however there are to be no team changes between the Semi Finals and Grand Final. All players must have played 2 handicapped league rounds to qualify for finals (any bonus scramble or 4BBB events DO NOT count).
How do single players work?
Register as a Free Agent and we will aim to group you into a team. Once confirmed, Free Agents will attend week 1 of League play for a team meet and greet, and commence play.
If we cannot fill a team with Free Agents, a full refund will be given.
